Last week was busy in relation to Arctic matters. First the Arctic Council ministerial meeting was held in Rovaniemi, Finland (7 May) and then the Arctic Circle Forum in Shanghai, China (10-11 May). A really interesting and important project that is partly Icelandic called CarbFix is developing an industrial process to capture CO2 (carbon dioxide) and other sour gasses from emissions sources and permanently store it as rock in the subsurface.
