The Alaska Institute for Justice (AIJ) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the human rights of all Alaskans. Formerly known as the Alaska Immigration Justice Project, it transformed into the Alaska Institute for Justice to reflect the inclusion of an additional program dedicated to climate and social justice issues, the Research and Policy Institute.
The mission is to promote and protect the human rights of all Alaskans including immigrants, refugees and Alaska Native communities by providing critical services to these underserved populations, including legal representation, language interpretative services, training and educational programs.

The Arctic Office is funded by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and hosted at British Antarctic Survey (BAS). It is tasked with supporting UK research in the high north; providing advice to policy makers; and developing international scientific cooperation across all aspects of Arctic Research. It does this through improving communication and connections; ensuring better representation and engagement; and delivering new research opportunities. It also incorporates the management of the UK Arctic Research Station at Ny-Ålesund on Svalbard.

The Center of Polar Issues Studies was approved as one of the national-level international and regional research centers by China’s Ministry of Education in June 2017. It became a member of China-Nordic Arctic Research Center (CNARC) in May 2018 and a member of the Northeast Asia Arctic Shipping Research Alliance on 29 October 2020. On 24 December 2020, the Center was awarded the title of the international and regional research center with a high-level construction by the Ministry of Education.
Relying on applied economics, foreign language and literature, pedagogy, management, and other disciplines, the Center focuses its research on polar governance and policies, polar economic cooperation, polar regional culture and education, and polar sustainable development.

Cerfacs is a basic and applied research center, specialized in modeling and numerical simulation. Trough its facilities and expertise in High Performance Computing, Cerfacs deals with major scientific and technical research problems of public and industrial interest.
Cerfacs hosts interdisciplinary researchers such as physicians, applied mathematicians, numerical analysts, software engineers who design and develop innovative methods and software solutions to meet the needs of the aeronautics, space, climate, energy and environmental fields.

Committee on Polar Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences was established in 1977. It associates together a group of scientists, both experienced researchers and junior experts engaged in research of the polar regions of the Earth. Members of the Committee represent many disciplines of the natural sciences, social sciences and the humanities and they represent more than 20 scientific institutions in Poland.

DMIs core marine activities are storm surge warnings, ice charting, waves, ocean currents, satellite surveillance, ocean climate and marine data.
Marine focus areas are the North Sea, the Baltic, Greenland/Arctic and Faroese waters. The North Atlantic and other selected areas are also covered.
In addition to the free products on the web page, DMI offers consultancies on subjects like ocean data, user specified forecasts for ocean or ice, analysis and professional advising.

Ecologic Institute conducts inter- and transdisciplinary environmental research and has offices in Berlin and Brussels. In its role as a private, independent organization, Ecologic Institute is dedicated to the preparation of relevant sociopolitical aspects of sustainability research and contributing new knowledge to environmental policy. Innovative research methods, an orientation on practice and a transdisciplinary approach ensure scientific excellent and social relevance. The work done at Ecologic Institute covers the spectrum of environmental topics and includes the integration of environment-related issues into other political spheres.
Ecologic Institute was founded in 1995 and collaborates closely with other European and international bodies, including active participation as a member of the Ecological Research Network (Ecornet).

The Emergency Prevention, Preparedness and Response Working Group, EPPR, is one of the six Working Groups of the Arctic Council. EPPR focuses on the prevention, preparedness and response to environmental emergencies, search and rescue, natural and manmade disasters and accidents in the Arctic.
