From June 29 to July 2, 2017 a meeting of the Northern Forum Regional Coordinators Committee was held in Khanty-Mansiysk.The meeting brought together coordinators and representatives of the Northern Forum member regions, potential member regions, experts, the Northern Forum project participants, chairs and members of working groups of the organization. Representatives of such regions as Krasnoyarsk Krai, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, Sakha Republic (Yakutia), Akureyri, Lapland, Alaska, Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Kamchatka Krai, Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Primorsky Krai and Arkhangelsk Oblast attended the event.
