NordForsk issues the call for proposals for planning grants within the Arctic Research.
The programme Responsible Development of the Arctic: Opportunities and Challenges – Pathways to Action is established to create new knowledge on the possibilities and challenges that the Arctic Region is facing. The programme is a cross-disciplinary initiative.
NordForsk is planning to fund two to five Nordic Centres of Excellence within Arctic research.
This is a call for planning grants, financing the preparation and establishment of Nordic Centres of Excellence (NCoE) within the Joint Nordic Initiative on Arctic Research 'Responsible Development of the Arctic: Opportunities and Challenges - Pathways to Action'.
To support the establishment of international, multidisciplinary NCoEs, NordForsk is issuing a call for proposals for planning grants. The 10 best proposals will be awarded NOK 100 000 to develop full proposals for NCoEs. The deadline for the submission of proposals for planning grants is 5 June 2014 at 13.00.
An open call for full proposals for NCoEs will be issued in early autumn 2014. Participation in the call for planning grant proposals is not mandatory for submission of a full proposal under the open NCoE call.
