ARICE newsletter for July 2021

The EU funded project ARICE has published a newsletter highlighting its recent and upcoming activities.

Including is the expedition ARTofMELT that is aiming to catch the start of the surface melt in the Arctic Ocean during spring 2023 using IB Oden,  from the ARICE cruises is IB ODEN that will host three projects onboard the vessel and CCGS Amundsen´s expedition, the second season of NoTAC will take place this summer on RV Kronprins Haakon and ARICE Technical Training and Webinars that can be accessed anytime from the ARICE website. The ARICE project is an international collaboration strategy for meeting the needs of marine based research in the Arctic. The aim of the project is to provide Europe with better capacities for marine-based research in the ice-covered Arctic Ocean. ARICE aims at reaching this goal with the existing polar fleet by: networking, transnational access and joint research activities.
