The "Power of Storytelling" for teaching and learning science subjects. A scientist organizes a free webinar about storytelling during lessons.

On Wednesday 13 September 2017 at 16:00 CET, Marta Azevedo will present the "Power of Storytelling" for teaching and learning science subjects.

The webinar starts with a presentation to explain the meaning of storytelling. After all, what is storytelling? What kinds of stories are there? Different types of stories are briefly described. Then, the webinar continues by establishing a connection between the act of storytelling and science. Why and how should science stories be told?

Examples of useful stories for teaching and learning science are presented and the webinar ends with a presentation of neuroscience: understanding storytelling through hormones. All the sensations we get after hearing a good story, all the feelings we develop, the enthusiasm we get, are related to the release of some neurotransmitters.
