Aircraft report

Ahead of the 15th annual Maritime Reconnaissance and Surveillance summit (Rome, Italy; 26-28 September), Defence IQ just released this annual report exploring the latest acquisitions, requirements and holdings of maritime patrol aircraft across international forces. View it here or get a copy sent to your inbox here.

The maritime domain plays host to some of the greatest threats to international security. The ongoing challenges of illegal migration, piracy and drug smuggling place considerable demands on the ISR assets of navies, coast guards and maritime security organisations. The operational in-tray, which already includes the traditional military requirements of ASW and border protection, is overflowing.

Maritime patrol aircraft remain a crucial means of reinforcing security at sea. Their current and future deployment will be central to the Maritime Reconnaissance and Surveillance summit, view the full programme here.
