Arctic Today and Future

The Annual International Forum "Arctic: Today And The Future" takes place in December in St. Petersburg.

The Forum takes stock of the public agenda in the field of the Russian Federation's Arctic zone development, bringing together relevant issues, initiatives, and proposals in the annual final public resolution, which contains the national, regional, industrial, and public agenda.

"Arctic: Today And The Future" takes place under the auspices of the Interregional Non-Governmental Organization "Association of Polar Explorers", the public leader actively taking part in the development of the northern regions of Russia, combining the efforts of all members of society involved in the development of the Russian Arctic.

This Forum is an effective tool allowing for direct interaction between representatives of the authorities and society to discuss practical issues regarding complex development of the Arctic, including the environmentally responsible use of natural resources, transport and transit potential and the energy complex, education, science and technology, national security, and international cooperation.

Traditionally, ca. 1000 delegates, including representatives of 25 federal ministries and agencies and 60 Russian regions participate in the activities of the Forum. The exhibition has an area of more than 1500 square meters.
