A dialogue that will serve to revitalize the MOU between Canada and Iceland on advancing our shared understanding of the Arctic
As part of celebrations of 75 years of diplomatic relations between Canada and Iceland, the embassies of Iceland to Canada and Canada to Iceland, in cooperation with the Icelandic Arctic Cooperation Network and Polar Knowledge Canada, are organizing five webinars to explore shared interests and continued cooperation into the future.
This first webinar will introduce the existing agreement on cooperation between Polar Knowledge Canada and the Icelandic Arctic Cooperation Network and highlight some examples of recent research collaboration. The agreement provides a framework for enhancing future collaboration in scientific research and technological development and the pursuit of opportunities that will lead to the creation of mutually beneficial, collaborative, and multidisciplinary projects in Arctic research.
The themes of the remaining four webinars will be developed in a collaborative process, including requesting feedback from the audience on priority themes, during this first webinar.
