Symposium - Interdependency as a condition

The online symposium "Interdependency as a condition" will be held on the 16^th - 18^th October 2020 by the Arctic Art Institute.

The symposium will expand the discussion field of the 4^th Arctic Forum "Ecosystems of the Invisible" Forum through joint attempts to decolonize knowledge about the North and discuss regional problems of the Arctic in the context of global political and environmental changes through the prism of modern curatorship, art production and academic research. The symposium will be divided into 4 panels:

Panel 1:On the conditions: the periphery of global capitalism and the Arctic region
Panel 2:Overall Forecast: Challenging Geographic, Political and Mental Boundaries
Panel 3:Step Backward: Exploring Repressed Environmental History and Working through Trauma
Panel 4:In pursuit of non-violent existence
