International Conference of Chambers of Commerce and Business Associations of Arctic Region will be held in Syktyvkar, Komi Republic, Russia on 23-25 November 2021.
The conference is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Komi Republic and supported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Arctic Council Sustainable Development Working Group (SDWG) and the Northern Forum.
It is organized within the framework of the ongoing Russian chairmanship in the Arctic Council.
Participation in the Conference is free of charge (travel and accommodation expenses to be covered by participants).

The Conference will include discussions on the following topics:
- International expertise of B2G interaction in the Arctic to ensure comfortable business conditions (subsidies and various benefits for Arctic entrepreneurs; government instruments to stimulate economic activity in the Arctic; examples of state support of infrastructure projects in the Arctic; experiences in Public Private Partnership in the Arctic, employment incentives etc.)
- Best practices for businesses, including startups, particulars of commercial success in the Arctic, as well as of product and services promotion tools, creation of “Arctic brands”, young entrepreneurship support experiences, Arctic businesses’ interaction with indigenous peoples etc.
- International expertise of B2B interaction, including between large businesses and SMEs in Arctic regions; cooperation with the Arctic Economic Council; environmental and social responsibility of entrepreneurs in the Arctic (ESG).
- Opportunities and prospects for international trade expansion and deeper economic cooperation amongst Arctic regions, implementation of joint commercial projects using international capital flows, programs, financial mechanisms and instruments (g. KOLARCTIC, Barents Secretariat etc); international projects as an instrument for development of sustainable partnership and favorable business climate in the Arctic.
Chambers of commerce, business associations from Arctic regions, business representatives, central and local government officials, members of the academic community from Arctic Council member and observer states are welcome to take part in the Conference.
