This weekend the China Global Television Network, America (CGTN-America) aired a news program Full Frame: Melting Iceland on the issues on climate change, its affect on Iceland, and how Icelanders are at the forefront of efforts to fight global warming.
Arctic Portal.org and its hometown Akureyri are featured in the program. The news anchor Mike Walter interviewed Arctic Portal‘s.org General Manager, Halldór Jóhannsson, on his views on climate change, international cooperation, and the China-Iceland Arctic Observatory - CIAO. Walter also interviewed the Prime Minister of Iceland Katrín Jakobsdóttir and got her views on climate change and learned about the town of Akureyri´s unique efforts in involving its citizen in green actions.
