A Roadmap for Arctic Observing and Data Systems (ROADS)

The SAON Strategy and Implementation Plan was approved in 2018. As a follow-up to this, SAON has developed a Roadmap for Arctic Observing and Data Systems (ROADS).

The Roadmap has been drafted as a deliverable for the preparation of the 3rd Arctic Science Ministerial (ASM3) to be held 8-9 May 2021 in Tokyo, Japan. ASM3 Theme 1 is Observe: Observing networks Data sharing - towards implementation. The organizers of ASM3 have designed a webinar series in order to increase the transparency of the Arctic Science Ministerial science process. The next webinar with this theme is held 20th January 2021, 13:00-15:00 UTC. More information and registration is found here.

The ROADS process will be presented at a session at the Arctic Science Summit Week (ASSW) 20-26 March 2021 (ID:13 - Advancing SAON's Roadmap etc. through Regional and Global capabilities). The call for abstracts has been extended to 10th December.
