Iceberg in East Greenland

Tomorrow, July 1st 2015, will be the deadline for submitting abstracts for the Polar Data Forum II, that will be held on October 27 - 29, 2015 in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

Notification of acceptance: 31 July 2015
After reviewing submitted abstracts, the International Advisory Committee shall inform each presenting author of the result of its review (accepted/accepted after revisions/rejected) no later than 31 July 2015. Please note that the number of speakers in each session is limited, thus while the IAC will make every attempt to include all submitted presentations, we ask for your understanding that this may not be possible for the case of oral presentations, and some authors may be offered the opportunity to contribute a poster presentation instead.

Poster presentations
All poster presentations should be the following size: 1160 mm (46 inches) wide x 1140 mm (45 inches) high. Posters will be displayed in the meeting room (Federation Hall, University of Waterloo), and two viewing sessions have been allocated in the Provisional Schedule (see Section 7 below). For authors wishing to retain their posters, please take them down by 5:00 PM on Thursday, 29 October. Otherwise, they will be removed and recycled

Special Issue of Data Science Journal
All participants will be invited to submit a Forum paper towards a planned special issue of the CODATA Data Science Journal summarizing the outcomes of the Polar Data Forum II. Specific instructions and deadlines for preparing manuscripts are to be confirmed and will be given to authors in the late summer, as well as announced on the Forum website.
