The NF Executive Director Vladimir Vasilev was invited to take part in the Yakutian TV show.

‘Prosto vkusno’ (‘Just delicious’) TV show appeared in the Sakha National Broadcast Company’s schedule a couple of years ago, with Petr Tsypandin, a famous entrepreneur and investor, as its host and Dmitry Argunov as a producer. The original idea of the show was to invite hunting and fishing enthusiasts to share their personal experiences and interesting stories and to answer the questions of concern from the republic’s residents while cooking the game.

The agenda of the ‘Arctic: Territory of Dialogue’ 6th International Arctic Forum, which was previously scheduled for 11–13 April, will be discussed during upcoming events as part of Russia’s chairmanship of the Arctic Council in 2021–2023 based on a decision by the Forum’s Organizing Committee.

Antarctica EnduranceOver the years, numerous expeditions have been made to try to find the wreck of the three-masted barquentine Endurance since it sank in 1915 without success, until now. Today, 9 March 2022, it was announced by the expedition Endurance22 that the wreck of Endurance had been found off the coast of Antarctica at 3,008 meters (9,869ft) depth.

  • Bitcoin uses more renewable energy than most countries
  • Bitcoin mining is currently estimated to account for about 0.5% of global electricity consumption
  • Now Bitcoin has a carbon footprint equivalent to Greece
  • Only seven mining companies own almost 80% of all computer power on the network
  • Bitcoin mining currently uses 66 times more electricity than in 2015
  • In 2009 the cost of mining took a few second’s worth of household electricity, in 2021 the cost was worth 9 years of household electricity
  • A single Bitcoin transaction results in the same carbon footprint as a traveler flying from New York to Amsterdam.
