The Final Report of the 11th International Conference on Permafrost (ICOP 2016) in Potsdam is delivered and available now in the Arctic portal library.
The report was prepared by Hans-Wolfgang Hubberten (Conference Chair) and Karina Schollän (Conference Manager) with the help of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) members and gives detailed insights in the planning and organisation of such a big event. Also conference highlights and statistics are presented as well as post-conference field trips reports and final words by the LOC.
The Eleventh International Conference on Permafrost (ICOP 2016) was held from 20-24 June 2016 in Potsdam, Germany. 739 participants from more than 36 nations attended the conference to present their latest findings and build new project ideas and cooperation in permafrost research and engineering. The theme of the conference was “Exploring Permafrost in a Future Earth”.
