The High North Center for Business and Governance and organizing partners are proud to announce a call for nominations for the 2017 High North Hero Award.

The international High North Hero Award was established in 2016 by the High North Center of Business and Governance at Nord University, in order to honour a person, organization or company which has contributed to increased awareness concerning Arctic development. The laureate will be awarded a prize of 50,000 NOK (equivalent to approximately 6,000 USD). The nomination is open to the general public. An international jury of Arctic experts will select a winner.

The winner will be announced at the High North Dialogue Conference, which takes place in Bodø, Norway, April 5 -6, 2017. The conference gathers experts and stakeholders from a range of sectors, and has a strong focus on business development and job creation in the High North.
