IASC has now a new website, designed by Arctic Portal in partnership with IASC, and hosted by Arctic Portal.

About IASC

The International Arctic Science Committee (IASC) is a non-governmental, international scientific organization. The Founding Articles committed IASC to pursue a mission of encouraging and facilitating cooperation in all aspects of Arctic research, in all countries engaged in Arctic research and in all areas of the Arctic region. Overall, IASC promotes and supports leading-edge multi-disciplinary research in order to foster a greater scientific understanding of the Arctic region and its role in the Earth system.

To achieve this mission IASC:

How to get your science project on IASC´s agenda?

IASC is not a funding agency and does not have a mechanism to accept external funding proposals. However, you can always bring your suggestion for a scientific activity to the attention of the relevant IASC Working Group. Each IASC member country appoints up to two members for each of the five Working Groups and the best approach would be to contact one of your national delegates (see the member section under each Working Group). Alternatively, you can also contact the IASC Secretariat directly.
