The Arctic Research Consortium of the U.S. (ARCUS) seeks applicants for the position of Executive/Program Assistant. This is a full-time, hourly position based in Fairbanks, Alaska.

ARCUS is a nonprofit consortium of 45 universities and research institutions concerned with Arctic research and education. This position reports directly to the Executive Coordinator and works independently performing a wide range of complex and confidential administrative and executive support duties including support to ARCUS staff in logistical planning of meetings. The successful applicant will provide a wide range of complex program and administration support to the Executive Director, the senior management team, and the Board of Directors; assist the Executive Director and Board of Directors in managing and coordinating corporate matters; and support ARCUS programs.

Candidates must have three-plus years related experience with proven office skills required, and solid working knowledge of office processes, business policy development, and related computer software and electronic communications tools. Strong writing and editorial skills are essential. A college degree is preferred, but an equivalent of education plus experience in an office environment will be considered and additional professional experience can be substituted for educational degree.
