´´(...)EU Arctic Forum is transforming its base into a foundation, while continuing its function as the Arctic platform collaborating with the European Parliament, the European Commission and the European External Action Service (EEAS). This summer´s newsletter therefore reports on a number of activities and contributions both with old and new partners.´´

The EU-ARCTIC FORUM, established in 2010, provides the European Parliament a platform on all issues with regard to the Arctic, facilitating exchange and input of information as well as interlinking the fragmented debates on the Arctic within the EU. The newsletter informs about activities in particular of the EU-ARCTIC-Forum and gives an overview on the development of the Arctic issues within the European Union.

It tries to highlight the most important ones, what is extremely difficult as of ongoing changes, new challenges and opportunities in both, the Arctic Region itself and EU Arctic Forum.

In the wake of the increased focus on Arctic, the Newsletter reports on such an issues as latest Communications of European Commission, 3rd Polar Shipping Summit, Icelandic presidential election, the role of European Union in the Arctic research and many more...
