Members of IPY Iceland

The Icelandic IPY committee works under the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with representatives from: the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, the Ministry for the Environment; the Marine Research Institute; the National Energy Authority; the University of Iceland; the Icelandic Centre for Research Information on Iceland; the Stefansson Arctic Institute and representatives from the Icelandic Meteorological Office and the Icelandic Institute of Natural History.

The committee prepares and coordinates the participation of Iceland in IPY, but has no funding for IPY projects. The committee will also introduce IPY in Iceland and the Icelandic IPY projects.
