The EALAT Information project was presented to the Arctic Council Sustainable Development Working Group meeting in Oslo, May 20-22. This was a status report on progress made since the last SDWG meeting held in Vadso late last year. The Association of World Reindeers is an Observer to the Arctic Council. The delegation included Johan Mathis Turi, Vladimir Etylin, Anders Oskal, Svein Mathiesen, Anna Maria Magga and Philip Burgess.

Anders Oskal gave a backgrounder on progress so far on this project that focusses on climate change and loss of pastures: bringing reindeer herders voice to the Arctic Council. Vladimir Etylin then presented the results of the EALAT Information workshop in Chukotka, where he was the host and organiser. Johan Mathis Turi presented the workshop from Topolinoe, Sakha Yakutia and Oskal wrapped up.

The presentation was well received by the Chair, Stein Rosenberg and received positive comments from Harold Finkler, SDWG Canadian Chair and Gunn Britt Retter of the Sami Council.
