http://www.kawerak.org The purpose of the Kawerak Reindeer Herders Association is to provide assistance to its twenty-one members in the development of a viable reindeer industry, to enhance the economic base for rural Alaska and to improve the management of the herds.

We work closely with producers to develop and conduct research projects that can be applied directly to their operations. Outreach is a significant part of our program and we have strong ties to communities and schools across Alaska.
