Submission of projects to CAFF
 | The Management Board of CAFF meets on average twice a year, in the
spring and fall, ahead of meetings of Senior Arctic Officials and the
biennial Arctic Council Ministerial Meeting. Contact the CAFF
International Secretariat for the meeting schedule. A project proposal
must be submitted to the CAFF International Secretariat for
distribution to the Management Board at least 60 days ahead of a
Management Board meeting to allow for the necessary in-country review
by the National Representatives. |
If the project proposal is related to one of the Expert Groups of CAFF – the CAFF Flora Expert Group or the CAFF Seabird Expert Group, or has relevance to the Circumpolar Biodiversity Monitoring Program, the project proposal must first be submitted to the respective division Chair and accepted, before being submitted to the CAFF Management Board for consideration.
A project proposer may request:
- Endorsement by CAFF, with no financial obligations by CAFF. If the project is accepted as endorsed, a letter of endorsement will be issued.
- Project adoption by the CAFF Working Group for the CAFF Work Plan. If a project is approved by the Management Board under this category, a lead country (or countries) and/or Permanent Participant Organizations must be identified who will be in part or solely responsible for the financial obligations in executing the project. The project will then be added to the CAFF Work Plan.
