Report Released: Global Scientific Challenges: Perspectives from Young Scientists
An international conference celebrating 75 years of ICSU
4-6 April 2007, Lindau, Germany
APECS was represented by Hugues Lantuit (sponsored by the International Permafrost Association) and Jenny Baeseman (sponsored by the International Polar Year)
120 young scientists, from 71 countries, met in Lindau, Germany on 4-6 April for a Conference to celebrate 75 years of ICSU. “Global Scientific Challenges: Perspectives from Young Scientists” was a truly unique event, focusing on the changing global context for the conduct of science, and it will surely have an impact on the long-term strategic directions of ICSU. It would not have been possible without the generous support and sponsorship of individual ICSU Members and, on behalf of ICSU and all the participants; we take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks.
