I am pleased to announce that 76 polar researchers will attend the APECS workshop on Monday 7^th July. Thanks to the support of SCAR, IGS, WMO and IASC we have been able to fund travel and accommodation for sixteen polar early career researchers to attend both the workshop and the open science conference. 

The research disciplines are bi-polar and extremely varied with applicants from 20 nationalities, studying and working in 18 different countries. The response from the polar community has been hugely encouraging with some great mentors and senior researchers volunteering to run sessions and offer career advise. I am confident that this will be an exciting and informative workshop with some fantastic networking opportunities.
