Aleppo Kebab, a Syrian kebab stand, opened today August 2, 2017 in the hometown of the Arctic Portal, Akureyri, Iceland.
The owner of the shop is Khattab Almohammad who arrived to Akureyri as a refugee of war in January this year along with 22 other Syrian´s.

The shop was announced to be opening a couple of months ago and the people of Akureyri have been waiting in excitement for it to open so it came as no surprise that when they finally opened there has been nonstop traffic to the shop to buy their exotic food and to see them at work.

The Arctic Portal staff is looking forward to doing regular business with them and wishes them the best of luck!
