Asian Forum for Polar Sciences - AFOPS

The Asian Forum for Polar Sciences (AFoPS) has just released the third issue of the Asian Forum for Polar Sciences Newsletter.

AFoPS is a non-governmental organization established in 2004 to encourage and facilitate cooperation for the advance of polar sciences among countries in the Asian region.

The Forum consists of its 5 Members, national polar research institutions representing China, Japan, South Korea, India, and Malaysia. AFoPS also has 4 observers: Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, and Vietnam.

Dr. Yeadong Kim, President of Korea Polar Research Institute, serves as the Chair of AFoPS for 2014-2016.
